The perfect journey to explore your creativity or to find inspiration in the day to day, to recharge or even to initiate change in your life. You are bound to find 'joie de vivre’ in abundance in the world’s most magical city, with its creative energy, historical riches, majestic architecture, exquisite dining or essential beauty…. And then again, high in the French Alps, with its most enchanting mountain setting, close to the picturesque town of Annecy, with its stunning lake, the surrounding charming villages, the fields of wildflowers, the cows with their bells jingling, the coloured stone buildings, the old stone fountains, the weekly markets bounty with fresh produce of all shapes and colours... so much beauty to bask in.
Our two bilingual guides Natalia, together with our local travel sketching teacher Catherine, will lead the way through the little hidden gems of Paris as well as the much loved historic and iconic monuments over the first 3 nights and days. We will walk through the city, and stop to sketch, eat, drink and laugh. On the 4th day, we will do some more art on the fast train from Paris to the Savoie region, and spend the next 5 nights and days exploring and sketching in all the charm of the Alpine setting while we stay in a stunning chalet, surrounded and nourished by all things organic.

At every step, Catherine will demonstrate and share her ideas around using simple lines, colour and collage, various pens, pencils and watercolour. At the same time, you will be guided in finding your unique style of expression, of capturing every quaint detail that you loved along the way… all to create your very own 'Carnet de Voyage', a fun way to journal your travel experiences and a heart felt truly unique gift to your self, your home or your loved ones.
There will be some free time each day to wander, shop, read a book… really, to enjoy the simple pleasures. No particular skill or art experience is necessary, you simply show up as who you are and where you are at. This is a space that can be therapeutic and life-changing in that you will discover ways of en-joy-ing and expressing yourself playfully, within a creative, caring and encouraging circle, in memorable, picturesque locations.
